Nigeria's music star, Davido, released his much-anticipated body of work dubbed "Timeless" in late March 2023. We expected him to release this album sooner until tragedy hit his home and had a huge effect on him as a family man and an artist. It takes someone with a strong and selfless heart to bounce back to music just to put smiles on people's faces.Aside from many reasons why we believe people love Davido, an obvious one is the kind of energy he puts into his songs. That is something no one can ever take from him and releasing an Album full of positive and uplifting vibes after the emotional struggles he had to overcome, confirms he is selfless and focused on making people happy than seeking public sympathy.
Did you see some of the skits he made after the album release? It's amazing how you'll hardly notice the young man is going through it. I know people who can never recover from such heart-breaking experiences.
However, people expected him to get all emotional and teary in his songs for obvious reasons. We get it, but an album with this weight and power isn't done in months. We are positive this project has been compiled and ready a couple of years ago if not more.
Almost all songs have uplifting lyrics (Even the ones with sad-like titles). We love this album and it proves Davido is that artist who'll never switch on his fans or disappoint them.
