Ghana's Epixode has become the face of Highlife in modern times. He seems to follow a strategic pattern of releasing his recent singles. He started with "Atia" which almost blew up the internet to bits! A Lot of open verse features on TikTok and across almost all social media platforms.
The new single titled "Obra (Onyame Bra)" meaning Life (God's Time) has a more special touch to it. He featured one of Ghana's most successful bands known as the "Santrofi". Ghanaian Highlife music has always been about highlighting on the daily lifestyles, the struggles, and all the most common situations the average person might encounter.
The song doesn't only talk about or highlight the hardships and troubles, but also motivates and inspires the listener to do more and trust in God's perfect timing. A perfect Highlife song with a perfect concept to make it worth listening/watching.
The video shows Epixode and the Santrofi band performing the song live. Looks natural, uplifting and so heart-warming! The video was recorded at P.M.E. Studios in Accra, shot by Director Tee and edited by Da Ghost.
From a reliable source, Epixode is currently working on a mini-documentary about himself and his career through the years. This documentary will feature some of the great names in the Ghanaian music industry as well.
This must be an exciting documentary to watch and we believe it will make new music lovers appreciate Highlife more and understand why Epixode is on this path. We will give you a heads-up as soon as this mini-documentary becomes public.
